Equity Advocates Leadership Cohort

K-12 Educators

Are you passionate about the safety and success of all students? Would you like training and support to help you positively influence your school system? The Equity Advocates Leadership Development Cohort is for you!

Attendees will receive training and resources to advocate for equitable environments in their school.

Inequities can be hard to recognize in the face of school culture, tradition, and community make up. Equity Advocates will be supported in identifying biases and inequities, and responding systemically through an equity literacy lens.

About Equity Literacy
Equity Literacy is a framework designed to foster equity knowledge and skills in educators and leaders. Equity–literate educators know how to recognize even the subtlest biases and inequities in their spheres of influence. They can also respond in productive ways, address biases and inequities at their roots, and sustain equity efforts long-term.

Sourcewell Equity Vision
By honoring the unique gifts and opportunities each child and adult brings, our schools are learning communities where all individuals thrive intellectually, socially, and emotionally, and are empowered to liberate themselves and others through connecting with and contributing to the world.

Offered in partnership with Equity Literacy Institute (nongovernment site).
