Funding Support

for nonprofit organizations in Region 5

These programs are limited to eligible Sourcewell members in Central Minnesota's Region 5

Funding & Partnership Opportunities

Sourcewell strategically reinvests in the communities we serve. For nonprofit organizations classified as a 501(c)(3) in Minnesota's Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena counties, Sourcewell offers funding opportunities to help promote new ideas or methods, encourage positive change, and inspire innovation and collaboration.

  • Innovation Funding

Our goal is to financially jump-start under-funded, innovative projects to help them get off the ground and reach a successful outcome. Any Region 5 nonprofit organization classified as a 501(c)(3) can apply for funding.

In 2019, Sourcewell leaders have dedicated $250,000 for nonprofit organizations' projects aimed at addressing unmet mental health needs in the region.

  • Small Project Partnerships

Have a new idea or need support to bring your program or project to the next level? We can help. The Small Project Partnership fund supports smaller projects that may not meet the traditional Innovation Funding requirements.

Sourcewell will match project costs up to $2,500 per fiscal year.

  • Cooperative Purchasing Rebate

The rebate program is another way we strategically reinvest in our community. When any Region 5 nonprofit makes a purchase using a Sourcewell cooperative contract, Sourcewell will rebate 1% cash back. Members receive their rebate cash payout automatically every fall.
