Career & College Readiness Programs

for central Minnesota schools & districts

The goal: prepare every student for college & career

To achieve this goal, Sourcewell education specialists seek to grow collaborative partnerships among schools, businesses, agencies, and colleges. We’d like to help prepare Region 5 students for their professional life beyond high school in the following ways:

  • Build relationships and coordinate with regional partners to develop alignment of support programs.
  • Provide career-planning resources and seek innovative ideas through funding projects and research.
  • Enhance opportunities for students to participate in real-world work experiences and earn college credit.

The Challenge

Following the graduating class of 2013 in Region 5, we've discovered the graduation rate is 81 percent, with only 56 percent of graduates attending the first year of postsecondary education*.
