Funding & Support

for central Minnesota communities

These programs are limited to members in Sourcewell's five-county service area

Funding Opportunities

Sourcewell strategically reinvests in the communities we serve. For public agencies in Minnesota's Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd, and Wadena counties, Sourcewell offers funding opportunities to help promote new ideas or methods, encourage positive change, inspire collaboration, and impact communities.

  • Community Impact Funds (formerly Innovation Funding)

Sometimes great ideas just need money. Our goal is to financially jump-start under-funded, impactful projects to help them get off the ground and reach a successful outcome. Regional representatives select which projects to fund based on their potential positive impact in the community.

*Applications are not available until January of 2021.

  • Community Match Funds (formerly Small Project Partnership)

Have a new idea? We can help. The Community Match Funds supports smaller projects that may not meet the traditional Community Impact Funds requirements. Sourcewell will match 50% of the project costs up to $10,000.

  • Cooperative Purchasing Rebate

The rebate program is another way we strategically reinvest in our community. When a local government in our five-county service area makes a purchase using a Sourcewell cooperative contract, Sourcewell will rebate 1% cash back. Rebate checks are paid out automatically every fall.
Nonprofit organizations are not eligible for this rebate.
